Not only is it important to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables for good health, it is important to eat a variety of them - different colors is the rule of thumb. A variety of fruits and veggies provides a variety of nutrients for your body, and there are literally hundreds of them in the whole food, not just a few vitamins as you may get from a multivitamin or multimineral supplement. You need whole food nutrition. The Health & Wellness Institute recommends that if you don't get enough (or won't), then you add a whole food nutritional supplement made from the juice of a variety of fruits and vegetables. We all know we should eat at least five portions of fruit and veg every day.
